FosterClub’s publications are built specifically for young people in foster care or the adults who support them. Each of our publications are designed with input from foster youth and most incorporate the voice of young people who have emerged from the foster care system.

fyi3 Binder

The fyi3 Binder: a tool to encourage youth involvement
A tool to encourage youth participation in their foster care plan. This 3-ring binder helps young people get organized and become more involved in their case plan, with sections such as a calendar, a log book, and an area to keep track of resources. The binder also becomes a central place to keep important documents having to do with education, employment, independent living, or personal history and identification.

The fyi3 Guide: a young person’s guide to becoming involved, informed and independent (coming soon!)
Packed with questions and answers about foster care, tips for advocacy, motivational stories about famous people who spent time in foster care, and advice from those who have “been there,” this guide is the ultimate resource for every young person in foster care.
It’s T Time Toolkit: a transition planning toolkit (coming soon!)
This publication provides tools for various team members involved in helping a young person prepare for a successful transition to adulthood.
It’s T Time: a young person’s guide to transition planning (coming soon!)
Designed to help young people understand why they need to prepare ahead of time for the transition out of foster care, this youth-friendly guide shares the experience of alumni and provides practical advice on steps that can be taken to prepare while still in care.
Getting Solid: a young person’s guide to permanency (coming soon!)
This interactive and fun guide helps young people understand what permanency is, whether or not they have it, why they would want it, and how to get it. Can be used by a youth on their own, or as part of group activities or workshops.
Getting Solid Facilitators Guide: preparing young people for permanency (coming soon!)
Designed to be used the Getting Solid guide for youth, this Facilitator’s Guide provides curriculum for 6 modules in preparing young people for permanency. Use the modules individually for weekly hour-long workshops, or combine to conduct a day-long seminar.
